Department 27 - Financial Markets I
The Department participates in the development of the financial market policy concept, creates the state concept in the areas of banking, building savings, cooperative money, supervision and financial stability. It prepares conceptual materials to set policy and support the development of the Czech financial market and participates in the creation of a single financial market in the EU. It provides comprehensive analyses and forecasts of the financial market in the areas of banking, building societies, cooperative money market, capital market, insurance, pension insurance and supplementary pension savings in the Czech Republic and internationally. It assesses the development of the global financial market, including the impact of globalisation on the domestic financial market. It coordinates opinions for the preparation of EU institutions' financial market negotiations. It contributes to the development of strategic proposals for the Ministry's actions and actions in the financial market area. It carries out legislative activities in the areas of banking, building societies, cooperative finance, financial market supervision and financial stability and ensures their harmonisation with EU law, including representation of the Czech Republic in working groups and committees of the European Commission and the Council of the EU in connection with legislative proposals within the scope of its competence. It contributes expertise to the financial markets agenda in relation to the EU under the ECOFIN Council and the EFC. Within the scope of its competence, it ensures and processes the agenda in relation to the EU, OECD, WB, MMF and FSB institutions. It ensures the coordination of the Ministry's activities and participation in the European framework for financial market crisis resolution. It provides support for the activities of the National Coordinator for the introduction of the euro and the activities of the NCS on the basis of relevant government resolutions. It coordinates the overall practical preparations for the introduction of the euro in the Czech Republic and acts as the Organising Committee of the NCG.
