Public consultations on the project Strengthening public financial management and control
As part of the project Strengthening public financial management and control, which is financed from the EEA Grants 2014-2021, Central Harmonization Unit of Ministry of Finance organized 16 public consultations during October and November 2022.
The purpose of the consultations was a discussion with the professional public on initiatives for the preparation of the substantive plan of the Act on the Management and Control of Public Finances. The subject of the discussion was mainly the pros and cons of the current legislation, the possibilities of correcting the identified shortcomings and the conclusions of the analytical phase of the project, which were presented at the international conference held on September 27, 2022.
More than 600 participants took part in the consultation, mainly representatives of public administration bodies, which are obliged to set up the management and control of public finances according to the Act on Financial Control.
