Expert discussion on the project Strengthening the management and control of public finances

The Central Harmonization Unit – Ministry of Finance organized an expert discussion on January 23-24, 2023 as part of the project Strengthening public financial management and control, which is financed from the EEA Funds 2014-2021.

The goal of the two-day meeting was the presentation of specific plans for changes in the system of management and control of public finances considered by the project team of the Ministry of Finance following the results of the analyzes and public consultation and discussion of both the existing legislation and its possible changes.

The discussion was attended by a total of 40 participants from control authorities (Supreme Audit Office, General Financial Directorate, Audit Authority, Department of Control of the Ministry of Finance, Ministry of the Interior) and from unions and associations bringing together public administration bodies affected by the Financial Control Act (Union of Towns and Municipalities of the Czech Republic, the Association of Local Governments of the Czech Republic, the Association of Regions of the Czech Republic, the Association of Health Insurance Companies of the Czech Republic, the Czech Institute of Internal Auditors).
